A lot of people get into business knowing what they want to do and how they want to make money, but they have no clue how to position themselves as an expert that actually gets paid for their services. Because let’s face it, if you’re not considered an expert, it’s gonna be damn hard to get anyone to hand you their hard-earned cash. The good news? It’s not that hard to position yourself as an expert. Here are 3 ways you can become known: #1 Be REALLY good at one thing. As a business owner, I’m sure you’re really good at loads of different things - and that’s great. But if you want to be known as an expert, you need to be really good at just ONE thing, not EVERY thing. For example, I’m a business consultant/coach, and I can help you with a ton of different aspects of growing a successful business. But where my specialties really lie are with marketing and visibility. Perhaps you’re a health coach that’s really good at meal prep. Or a website designer that’s fantastic at getting designs done quickly. Find your one thing and be really good at that. #2 Keep your branding seamless. All of your social media profiles and your website should have consistent branding throughout. That means the same profile photo, the same logos, the same colors, the same image styles, the same language (copy) - everything should be the same across all profiles and sites. Having seamless branding is just one more way to show people you are an expert at what you do. #3 Become the...

The number one issue my clients come to me with is their sales call process. Perhaps this is something you’re struggling with as well. You don’t know how to get people to sign up for a discovery call with you (or clarity call or sales call - whatever you call it). When you DO finally get people on the phone, you feel like you’re about to choke on your words because you’re so nervous. You always end your calls feeling deflated, the potential client says they can’t afford it or they need to “think about it”, and you’re left feeling like a failure. Again. What’s the deal? Why are sales calls so hard? Here’s the good news – they aren’t. Sure, they can take some getting used to, and you’ll definitely need to work out a few kinks that are likely holding you back from more sales, but these calls are not hard. Or at least, they don’t have to be. Here are 5 things you can do to turn your sales call process around and start signing clients and making the big money you really want. 1. Tell them why they need you Before you even hop on a call with a potential client, you first need to tell them why they need to work with you. Promoting your sales calls needs to be your #1 priority until you are fully booked with 1:1 clients. That means you need to get out there daily, hit the ground running, and sign up as many people as possible for calls with you (ideally, you want 5-7 sales calls each week,...

I want to tell you a story about a client of mine. Let’s call her Sarah. We started working together only 3 weeks ago. She came to me unclear of how to go about putting herself out there in a way that felt authentic and good. You might know what that feels like. I know I’ve been there, too. Staring at your blank computer screen knowing that there’s so much you could do, but clueless about where to begin. Reading other people’s Facebook posts longing to feel inspired, but really just feeling crappy and wondering what they have that you don’t. Why are they experiencing all of this success and I’m not? Why do I feel so left behind? Those were the questions that Sarah was asking herself only 21 short days ago. And today, less than one month later, Sarah has made $9500 from her business. If you asked her if she felt like this was possible when we started working together, she would have thought you were crazy. 10K in 3 weeks? Totally completely absolutely impossible. But today this is her reality. So, apparently possible. Very very very possible. How did she do it, you ask? What changed from day 1 to day 21 in our time together? I’m going to tell you. She followed my advice about pimping out her discovery calls and just kept taking action. She stayed committed and confident. She was ALL in. Now, the thing is, it’s not always easy to be ALL IN when left to our own devices. I only consistently had 5 figure months after I signed up to...
