I was once a coupon clipper, now I get to do things like this…

One of the benefits of working for yourself is the ability to travel whenever you want. I decided to travel last weekend. Although it was only for 2 days, I made the decision to take the weekend off from business stuff, and all my other responsibilities and head to New York with my bestie for a girls weekend. Road trip! The plan was to meet up with another friend in Albany, which we did (and had such an AMAZING time!), do a bit of shopping (Hi Target, I love you!) and eat everything in sight (not difficult). There weren’t many apartments or hotels available to rent, and because I’m not a fan of B&B’s, I didn’t hesitate, and just booked us two gals a big ‘ol HOUSE on the water. My friend joked that I was crazy because it cost me around $700 for two nights, plus $600 on gas, phone charges and other odds and ends - not to mention food on top of that. It was close to a $2,000 trip. But – I did it without ANY hesitations about money. The old me, the me from less than a year ago, would never, EVER have spent $2,000 for a weekend away. These days, I allow myself to do things that raise my vibration and make me feel good. Because if I’ve learned anything over the past 8 months, it’s that the more I feel good, the more money I make. So while my friend flinched at the $2,000 price tag, I didn’t. I paid it all without a single complaint. I’m now able to enjoy my...
Weekly Schedule

Weekly Schedule

Have you ever sat down at your computer, determined to get the most out of your day, only to look at the clock hours later and realize you’ve spent hours “working”, but didn’t accomplish a damn thing? Me too. That’s why I had to put a daily routine & weekly schedule in place. Having this daily routine sets my day up for success. No more chit chatting on Facebook for hours. No more reading blog posts all day and not implementing the things I learn. No more wasting time online. I’m now able to accomplish SO MUCH in my days - and despite what many assume - I absolutely do NOT spend all day online. Today I want to share with you the daily routines I have in place, to give you an idea of how you can start to structure your days to get more done in less time. First off: I use a combination of Google calendar, weekly to-do lists (written on paper) and daily to-do lists (written on paper). Those are the only things I use to keep my tasks and to-do’s organized. Monday: * 6am - Wake up, shower, take my vitamins, drink water, tackle ONE big task from my daily to-do list * 7am - Wake kids up, make & eat breakfast, pack lunches, get everyone dressed and out the door for school * 9am - Be of service in Facebook Groups and/or promote discovery calls or a new offering * 9:15am - Random work (live call outlines, content for new offering, behind the scenes biz stuff, emails, communicating with my team) * 10am...

I went on a shopping spree at the mall, bought whatever I wanted, and then this happened…

Hey there!   I spent around $1,000 and made $985 a few hours later!   Let me give you a bit of a backstory: Just over a year ago, I was running a successful couponing blog. I was dubbed the “Queen of Coupons” and the “Queen of Frugal”. Everything I did revolved around saving money. Need new shoes? Where can I get the best deal? Need more toothpaste? Where can I get it for free with sales and coupons?   It was exciting for the first few years I was this way, but eventually, I just got really tired of it. Tired of always scrimping and saving, tired of NEVER having enough money for the things and experiences I wanted, tired of spending all my waking hours clipping coupons and deal hunting, just to save a bit of cash.   So, I just stopped. Stopped with the coupons. Stopped looking for deals. I just stopped. Everything. Around that time, I was working in a group program with a business coach that was helping me to get my coaching business off the ground, and she taught me about manifesting and “living as if”. As if I was already making the money I wanted to make. As if I was already my idea of successful. As if I was already happy with my work.   And so I jumped right in with both feet. I started living my life as if I already had all the things I wanted. I was way more grateful. For my health, my family, a bill that just got paid in full, a new fan on my...

I used to eat bags of chips for breakfast (and 25 other strange facts about me)…

I have to lie in bed with my leg out to the side or I can’t sleep. I have a “graveyard scene” of pet animals that have died tattooed on my back. Growing up I had an invisible friend named Martin. I still talk to him sometimes. I always have to know what time it is or I get super paranoid that I’m going to miss an important event (like sleep). I give myself hand massages almost every day because it calms me down when I feel stressed. Even though I ran a really successful six-figure blog for 7 years, I’ve always hated blogging. I buy myself a gift every time I buy someone else a gift. Even if I’m just buying them something small. I don’t like an empty email inbox. It makes me feel like no one likes me. I menu plan every week, but usually only eat half the meals I plan to make. I HATE shopping with a passion - except grocery shopping. I could grocery shop for hours. I play a game with myself every time I’m paying for groceries at the store by trying to guess, down to the penny, what my total will be. I usually sleep in bed for a few hours and then move to the couch in the living room every night because I *think* I have restless leg syndrome and don’t want to annoy my husband with my twitching. I once was on the Tyra Banks TV show to talk about working in the adult industry. Even though I’m not religious, Christmas is my favourite holiday of all...
