How I booked myself solid and you can do the same in 2016

How I booked myself solid and you can do the same in 2016

It’s almost the new year! I really love the new year. It’s such an exciting time: Thinking ahead about all the fun things you have planned for yourself, both in your business, and your personal life. Am I right? One thing I’m doing this year is re-structuring my mentorship offerings, and this got me to thinking: My 1:1 coaching program has been sold out for a while and people are always asking me how I managed to book myself solid so easily - why not talk about it? Which brings me to the question, how would you feel if you could COMPLETELY book yourself solid and not have to worry about always chasing clients? Have you ever felt scared and overwhelmed that you wouldn’t be able to book the number of clients you need to in order to pay your bills? I used to feel the same way! I had invested in coaches, programs and other things for my business (and had high personal expenses, too) and was terrified that I wouldn’t be able to book clients and sell out programs in order to pay my bills. That’s why I’m doing a 5-Day Challenge called, “How I Booked Myself Solid & How You Can do the Same in 2016: Learn the tools and practices needed to create coaching programs & packages that sell, so you no longer need to chase clients!“ I believe it’s EXTREMELY important to book yourself solid so you can focus on serving your clients and your community (so new clients are easy to come by). That’s why I’m not holding ANYTHING back, and I’m sharing: How much I...
The Most Important Thing You’ll Read All Day

The Most Important Thing You’ll Read All Day

I want you to know that you’re important. You were put on this earth to do remarkable things. You are not, and were never meant to be, mediocre. So don’t be. Being in the middle of holidays we all get busy, unexpected things happen. Some days things don’t always go as planned and that’s okay. Just pick yourself up, brush yourself off, smile and keep pushing forward. You’ve got this. When it comes down to being successful it’s all about mindset. If you believe that you can do something, you’ll be on your way. We’re all looking forward to 2016 and how we can get a good start in the new year. One of these things is to start with your mind. Adopt daily rituals that help you to practice having the right mindset.  Imagine waking up in the morning, excited about getting to work. Spending a few hours a day on your business and the rest relaxing. Having multiple vacations and the ability to work from anywhere in the world. Imagine getting paid six-figures or more doing work you freakin’ love. If you can imagine it you can make it happen. What are some ways that you can practice having the right mindset?  Write down your positive affirmations. Put them on sticky notes and place them all over the house where you go and work daily. Change your phone or desktop background to a goal or positive affirmation so it’s always within your sight. Visualize. Close your eyes and try to imagine what would happen when your dreams become reality. Think of your goals right now, find images...
10 Tips on Working from Home with Little Kids

10 Tips on Working from Home with Little Kids

It’s the holiday season - which means loads of food, fun and excitement, and NO SCHOOL! You want to enjoy your kids while they are little, but you also want to be able to run a successful business while working from home. Here are some ideas to keep you working while you’ve got a child at home now and after the holidays. Work early in the morning or late at night - and during nap time if you’re lucky enough that naps still exist. Set a work-from-home schedule and try to stick with it. Establishing a schedule (as best you can) while they are still little will help them to understand what you do, as they get older. Schedule in time for interruptions and play-breaks so you can manage your stress levels and not feel guilty about not working or not playing enough with your child/children. Designate times when you can give your full attention to your kids - have a routine where they know when you’ll be available for play and when you’ve got to get back to work. Mobilize your office. Get yourself a laptop, your cell phone, pen and notebook and you can work anywhere your kids are. Work at the kitchen table, backyard, the park, you’ll be surprised how much you can get done in between activities. Ask for help, remember that you don’t always have to be superwoman. Team up with another mom (or mom in business) and exchange watching each others children. Consider asking in-laws and family members to help once or twice a week. Delegate business tasks. It may mean spending a little...
What Happened in 2015

What Happened in 2015

This time of year is perfect for reflecting, and in addition to planning for the year ahead, I’ve been doing just that. It’s incredible how much things can change in just 12 months! This is a walk down [my] memory lane… JANUARY - I was completely worn out from my job as a full time coupon blogger and was starting to really resent the people I was helping with this gig, because they constantly demanded I work all the time to help THEM save money (and they said I should do it for free). They were assholes. I decided to kick them in the nuts and walk away. I hired a small team of women to run the site for a few months, hired a business coach of my own, and got into coaching. Something I’d been urged to do for awhile. We had a really cold winter, so I was spending a lot of time cooped up indoors, but as a homebody, I didn’t really mind! Income in business = $0Expenses for business = $6,000  FEBRUARY - I made the decision to be a blogging coach and worked with my business coach on my money mindset (which I thought was SO STUPID and really didn’t want to do it, but I humored her, and then it started working… so, I guess I was wrong!). I decorated my office, and was excited to work in there on my BRAND NEW BIZ! Towards the end of February, I decided to switch gears from blogging coach to business coach because, uh, I kind of hate blogging, so I’m not really the...
Goal Setting Strategies for a Hella Profitable 2016

Goal Setting Strategies for a Hella Profitable 2016

When it comes to goal setting, many people are excited at the thought of having a great year, making tons of money in their business and making a real difference in the world. BUT - come February (or sooner), they fizzle out. The excitement ends. The goals fade away and you’re spending the rest of the year floundering around, trying to make ends meet, until December, when you start the goal setting process all over again. This happens year after year, but nothing ever changes. Your business still isn’t making you the money you want. You’re still working like crazy. And you can’t seem to turn things around. Sound familiar? This year, let’s make sure your goals actually happen. Here’s what you need to do: Set S.M.A.R.T Goals Put away the pad of paper that has a scribbled list of things you’d like to accomplish in the New Year. Goals are serious business and if you don’t treat them that way, you’ll never accomplish them at all. Enter S.M.A.R.T. goals: S – Specific (State exactly what you want to accomplish – who, what, where, why, how, when.) M – Measurable (How will you be able to determine whether or not the goal has been met?) A – Attainable (They should be reasonable, given your situation, but should also stretch you just a bit.) R – Relevant (How is the goal aligned with the overall vision for your business?) T – Time-Bound (For successful and timely completion, set deadlines and “by when” dates for reaching your goal.) If you want to have success with your goals in 2016, make sure...
