The way people do business these days just astounds me, and not in a good way. Almost daily I’m receiving messages from people trying to shove their products and services down my throat. People I’ve never spoken to before. I’ve even had people go as far as telling me about them and then they ask about ME, what I do and all that. Why the fuck are you messaging people that YOU DO NOT KNOW and trying to sell them shit? I get that you’re trying to be more visibleI get that you’re just trying to be proactiveI get that you just want to be taking action But this is the WRONG way to go about it. I commend anyone that is taking action in their business. And I do think one of the best ways to grow your business and make more money is to build solid connections with people. There is honestly nothing wrong with reaching out to people just to build a connection. But KNOW who you are reaching out to, or at least know OF them. And please stop trying to sell something or promote yourself in your very first connection with someone. I promise that that strategy always ends badly. You get to decide how you spend your day, how you take action and market your business. And there are many, many ways to do that marketing, make an impact and make MONEY. Everyday you have to make a choice about what you’re willing to do. Are you willing to sacrifice sleep to make more money?Are you willing to give up things you want while you hold off for what you REALLY want?Are you willing to do the work, especially the hard work, every day without fail?Are you willing to be you, 100% you, and no one BUT you, all of the time? You get to decide how your life goes and it all comes down to this – WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO DO? If there’s one thing that frustrates me more than anything, it’s when someone tells me they want something, but then don’t put in 100% effort to actually get it. I can promise you this: What you want will not be handed to you, you have to work for it, just like the rest of us. And if it’s important enough – If you really, really REALLY want it – Then you have to decide that it’s DONE, and then go out there and get it by showing up daily and doing the work. No excuses, no complaints, no giving up. Just DO. I remember my first month in coaching when NO ONE was buying. I thought I was doing everything wrong. I felt lost and confused, and to be quite honest with you, I felt like a big time FRAUD. Here’s the thing you need to realize about your community – They want YOU. All of you. They don’t want your fancy programThey don’t your blueprints and checklistsThey don’t want your slides and videos and content They simply want you. The reason someone follows you is because they either – A) Want to be like youB) Agree with your messageORC) Want what you have Regardless of WHY they follow you, there is one thing they’re definitely looking for, and that’s a peek into your life. They want to know what you do, how you do it, and most importantly, WHY it’s important to you. And the big reason you’re unable to grow your community and make a bigger impact right now, is because you haven’t made the move to be more visible to your people. I’m not talking about posting on Facebook 3x per day or emailing your list every week. This isn’t about the WHAT, it’s about the HOW.
