GET IT DONE, MAKE IT HAPPEN, AND DON’T STOP UNTIL IT’S DONE! (AND THEN KEEP GOING…)

GET IT DONE, MAKE IT HAPPEN, AND DON’T STOP UNTIL IT’S DONE! (AND THEN KEEP GOING…)

People try to tell me I should rest more. People try to tell me I should take a break. People try to tell me I should slow down. People try to tell me to “live a little”. And I am! Living a LOT, honestly. Living more than I ever have before.  The thing they don’t realize about me, about US, is that this hustle? This stuff we do everyday that looks like WORK to everyone else? Actually IS us living and being HAPPY. Doing what we do best. Being who we truly are. Getting paid to share our gifts with the world. We don’t have to slave away in an office, in a cubicle jail cell, in ANY PLACE, because we know we can do better than that. We know we ARE better than taking orders from someone else (BLECH, as IF we would let someone try and boss US around!). We have this thing called PASSION. This thing called getting it the fuck DONE. This thing called craving the RESULTS. And doing what it takes to GET those results. It’s actually next to impossible for us to rest.  It makes us feel restless, gross and even PISSED OFF.  We just wanna CREATE! We just wanna SELL! We just wanna be US!  And so we do.  The words “rest”, “break” and “slow down” just aren’t in our vocabulary. They make our skin crawl, honestly.  The fact of the matter is, the HUSTLE is what gets us up in the morning. We LIVE for the hustle. Would die for the hustle! Cannot, WILL NOT live without it! Always going, always...
THE POWER OF PATIENCE (AND WHY YOU NEED TO HAVE IT)

THE POWER OF PATIENCE (AND WHY YOU NEED TO HAVE IT)

When you really think about it –  Success isn’t that complicated.  It’s simply a matter of doing the work, day after day, night after night and being consistent with your actions. So when someone that’s been in business less than a year starts complaining to me that “it’s too hard” or “it’s taking forever” for shit to happen, my eyes just roll and I CAN’T EVEN.  I can’t even go there. I can’t even respond. I can’t even look at you anymore if you say those things to me. Because it’s bullshit. It’s just you being impatient.  And patience is something that millions of entrepreneurs don’t have. It’s something millions of PEOPLE in general don’t have. And it’s the one thing that separates those that succeed in life from those who don’t.  I started my first “real” business when I was about 18-19. I created multiple other businesses since then. And JUST NOW am I getting close to breaking the million dollar mark. JUST NOW am I feeling like I’m close to that success I’ve been dreaming of for over a decade.  It takes TIME to learn how to run a business It takes TIME to take the necessary actions for success It takes TIME to do what it fucking TAKES to get where you want to go And if you can’t find that time, if you think it doesn’t exist, if you believe that it’s taking too long, then please –  Do yourself a favor and QUIT. Because you’ll never hack it as an entrepreneur. Not a successful one, anyway.  But for those of us that are willing to put in...
BITCHING AND COMPLAINING ISN’T GOING TO DO ANYTHING TO HELP YOU

BITCHING AND COMPLAINING ISN’T GOING TO DO ANYTHING TO HELP YOU

I was just at the bank and had an interesting encounter with the bank teller while I was there. The first thing she did when I walked up to her was complain about the customer prior to me and how she couldn’t understand a word he said because of his thick accent. I’ve never been, but I’m pretty sure the first thing they teach you in business school is DON’T MAKE FUN OF YOUR CUSTOMERS, especially in front of other customers. So, she rubbed me the wrong way from the get-go.. Then she complained about how cold it was in the building. I told her to ask them to turn the heat up a bit to which she said “nah, they won’t listen”.  First of all - you don’t get what you don’t ask for. Ever.  Second - if you can fix a problem, but choose not to, you have no right to complain. Ever. Whether in business or your personal life, there are always going to be times when shit hits the fan. Maybe in a small way, like feeling cold and wanting the heat turned up, or a big way, like a car wreck or death in the family.  What you choose to do in those situations matters.  You can choose to play the victim. Complaining, bitching, whining and getting NO WHERE.  Or –  You can choose to do something about it and improve your situation.  And let me tell you, playing the victim is never going to do anything to help you. You have the power to change your current sitation, to make it better, to make YOU better....
WHEN WILL YOU REALIZE THAT YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

WHEN WILL YOU REALIZE THAT YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

If you really  Honestly TRULY Looked at yourself in the mirror and said “I’ve fucking GOT this” –  Would you believe yourself? Or laugh and be all “yeah, yeah, sure you do, big shot”? I know that for me, that confidence has always been inside of me. I always knew I was meant for HUGE things, I was meant to be super rich, I was meant to shake the world, I was meant to inspire MILLIONS with my message.  But I’m human –  And so I get scared, I get frustrated, I feel uncertain about things… And I pick myself the fuck UP and get on with it anyway! Now, I’d be lying if I said I was perfect. I’m far from it. There are times when I sleep in too late, I watch a bit too much “Longmire” and “The Walking Dead”, even just NOW I spent 10 minutes getting distracted by text messages and a Snapchat message –  Sometimes I just delay delay DELAY getting the shit done I know needs to get done. It happens. It’s life - messy, raw, real –  And so I’m sharing it with you to let you know that you aren’t expected to be perfect, either. You can’t be. It’s OKAY. But what’s not okay is you sitting there making EXCUSES about why you haven’t done what you need to do to get the results that you want. That shit won’t fly here. Not on my watch! Just know that what you want is real. What you want is FOR YOU. And most importantly, what you want is POSSIBLE. But you have...
Why there are no real “rules” when it comes to business

Why there are no real “rules” when it comes to business

I’ve never liked following rules, which is probably why I left school at the age of 16 and quit multiple jobs for the next few yeard after - before I finally realized that I was supposed to work for MYSELF instead. But even as I ventured into entrepreneurship, I noticed there were still rules people would tell me to follow. With my modeling business, there were rules around how to act and speak.  With my cupcake business, there were rules around food safety (okay, so I get this one!). With my couponing business, there were rules around who I could contact and how I should structure things. With my coaching business (when it first started), there were rules around what my website needed to look like and how I needed to sell and make money. In fact, the rules are still pretty much the same in all of these industries today. And this is where I say - FUCK THE RULES! (Except food safety, that one I’ll let slide.) I learned early on in my coaching business that rules were a plenty and that I hated following them. I remember lying to you for months, pretending to be someone I just wasn’t, speaking in a way I don’t normally speak, and for what? To get you to like me?  UH NO. When I did that, I had the WRONG people liking me. People I didn’t want to like me. People I certainly didn’t like myself. People that had crazy expectations of me. People that expected me to act a certain way. And as I’m sure you know by now,...
