The reason it’s so easy for me to show up everyday To be insanely visible everyday To make MONEY everyday Is because I create a ton of CONTENT everyday And the reason I’m able to create a ton of content is because, well, my LIFE is content. And living my life is pretty easy. 🙂 Every second I’m living, I’m essentially creating content. Every time I open up my mouth Every thing I read Everything I eat Every experience I have Every thing I buy Is content. Because let’s remember, what are people buying? THEY ARE BUYING YOU! They are buying you and your message. You and your beliefs. You and what you stand for. And how do you share your message, your beliefs, what you stand for? By SHOWING UP. Day after day. Talking about it. Living your life and sharing it with the world. The VALUE that you’re sharing with your community every day is YOU living your life and sharing your experiences and what you learned from them. That’s it! It’s really not that complicated. Why the fuck are you making it so complicated? Just sit down and WRITE. Record that VIDEO. Jump on that LIVESTREAM. Tweet. Pin. Snap. Last night I went out to dinner with a past client and good friend of mine – And the night was full of conversation on everything entrepreneurship and business! My favorite. There’s something powerful that happens when you surround yourself with people who just GET you and are on the same level as you. I know that when I first got into the world of entrepreneurship, the very first thing I did was try to find other people like me. Other people who understood the way I thought and acted. Because my family and friends just did NOT. “Why are you always working?” “Do you ever STOP?” “What do you mean you’re bringing your laptop on vacation?” Non-entrepreneurs simply don’t GET the way an entrepreneur’s brain works. How we live for the hustle How we don’t stop, can’t stop, won’t stop How we give and give and give to our work How we never slow down, ever, for any reason How we are never satisfied and always setting bigger goals How we can never turn our brains off (not that we’d want to!) And so it can be challenging to be around those that AREN’T on the same level as we are, life wise. Because let’s face it – When you’re not an entrepreneur, you don’t live for the hustle, you live for the weekends and and your holidays and vacations. You can’t wait to get home and the work day to be over. But as an entrepreneur, you never STOP creating, engaging, selling, growing! Let’s just be honest with each other – You haven’t been going ALL IN. You haven’t been doing EVERYTHING you can. You haven’t been giving it 110%. Now ask yourself WHY. What are you afraid of? What are you scared will happen if you just DO what is necessary? What is freaking you out? And now what if all of those “bad” things happen? Will it be the end of the world? Likely not. You’re doing the BARE minimum. You’re hardly showing up at all. You’re giving excuse after excuse as to why you CAN’T instead ofMAKING excuse after excuse for why you CAN and you WILL! You’re taking days off (WHAT??!?!). You’re allowing yourself to “slow down”. You’re doing tasks that don’t matter. You’re wasting time on activities that won’t make you money. And you’re not spending ENOUGH time on the tasks that will. You want the BADASS title of the one who MADE it? Then things have got to change right now. You can’t be HALF showing up. There’s just no TIME for that. You need to be fully and completely in! So no more excuses. Focus on the RESULT. What do you WANT? Don’t think about the potential struggles (there will be many) Don’t think about the money you’ll have to invest (it will be A LOT) Don’t think about what could go wrong (pretty much everything will at some point) What you want to think about instead is the end result you’re shooting for, Whether that’s money, impact, fame, or all of the above, get crystal fucking clear on what RESULT you really want.
