Don’t you think it’s crazy how so many people are looking forward to retiring? They have no other goals other than to save up a bunch of money, retire and THEN they will start living their dream life. Only THEN will they travel more, relax more, have fun more – But until then, they have to WAIT for that magical day they can look their boss in the eye and say “Later, I’m out!”. This just makes me CRINGE because OMG how can anyone in their right mind EVER give up fighting for a better life? How can anyone just SETTLE with what they have? How can they STOP trying to be, do and have MORE in their life? How can they be content with being comfortable? I just don’t GET IT. I don’t understand those people. When I was growing up, one thing that my parents, my grandparents, everyone who cared about me, would say was – “Save for retirement!” And I would nod my head and say “okay!”, all excited about the thought of never having to work ever again! I remember being excited about the idea that I could sleep all the time, have no responsibilites, do whatever I wanted, and still have money coming in every month. Have you ever felt like a fraud? Like everything you’re doing just isn’t enough for people to really take you seriously and how dare you even CONSIDER charging people money to speak with you? I have, many MANY times. In fact, almost every time I uplevel, which I do regularly as I continue to grow my empire. There are those fears, those doubts that you’re not good enough. That there’s NO WAY people would pay you so much money. You even question why they would hire you instead of the other people that have more experience than you. Am I right? I know what’s it’s like to struggle with those thoughts, with those feelings and fears. I also know what it’s like to breakthrough them, which is no easy task, but defintely a necessary one. Here’s what you need to understand – People pay for convenience. So even if you have already given for free what you want to package up and sell, people will pay for it, because it will all be in one nice, neat package for them. Convenience sells. You only need to be one step ahead. You absolutely don’t need to know it all (it’s impossible to anyway!). There is always more to learn! You just need to be at least one step ahead of your ideal client, and in their eyes, you’re an expert and they will buy from you. Your experience is enough. You can’t sit around and try to plan the perfect little content schedule. That’s not enough. You can’t tell me that today you’re gonna talk about X, tomorrow about Y, and the next day about Z. I’m sorry, but no, that’s just not gonna cut it! I’m not saying it’s a bad thing to do a bit of planning and brainstorming, but having EVERY SINGLE PIECE of content in a schedule that you MUST follow? Where’s the FLOW in that? Hint: There isn’t any. Some people tell me that they work better if they plan out their content, and I get that you probably FEEL that way, but just know that deep down, you’re holding yourself back from the opportunity to share what we actually WANT you to share. Sometimes I think – If I were to share/create/speak from a schedule, it would probably look like this – Monday: Journaling Tuesday: Creating Content Wednesday: Selling & Sales Thursday: Engagement Friday: List Building Saturday: Messaging Sunday: Sales Funnels I mean, YES those things are great to talk about and I know for a fact my audience would want to hear about ALL of them. But they don’t want to hear about the step-by-step plan for each one – They want to know how I do them in my own business! Which means, I talk about them as they come up. For example, this morning I talked about journaling on my Facebook profile, because it was fresh in my mind. And the responses were incredible! Not much irks me more than when someone tells me they didn’t do something because they “didn’t have enough time”. You have 24 hours EVERY DAY. That’s a long fucking time! Those are a lot of hours! Don’t tell me you don’t have the time, and stop convincing yourself of this as well. Just admit that whatever “it” was, wasn’t really a priority and so THAT is why you never got around to doing it. Same goes for buying or investing in something. Don’t say you don’t have the money, just say it’s not a big enough priority to FIND the money. Not many people are sitting around with tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars in a bank account, ready to be spent. No! If you’re smart with money, you RARELY have any lying around because you’re always investing in things that will make your money GROW. Which is exactly why you must “find” the money when something comes up that you do want to purchase. You have the time. You have the money. And you have the choice. There are no excuses. If you want it, make the time. Find the money. Make the choice and just DO IT. What I’ve learned when it comes to growing successful businesses online, and really, in LIFE in general – Is that you need to act, and then figure out the rest later. But OMG that sounds so reckless! Irresponsible, even! What? You thought it was easy? You just save up your money and you re-allocate your time and BOOM, here’s your dream life being handed to you on a silver platter?...

I’ve been sitting here staring at the screen for the past 5 minutes, trying to figure out what I’m going to say. What I want to say. What needs to come out. I’ve got G-Eazy in my ears, a quiet child beside me on the plane, and a stupid ass in front of me with their seat reclined so far back she’s practically on top of me. And I realize… THIS is why I fly business class. THIS is why I don’t belong back here. THIS is the type of shit I refuse to deal with. But yet here I am, dealing with it. Mumbling all kinds of profanities at my lack of personal space. This is the last time I listen to anyone about it not being “worth it” to pay for business class seats for children. Even THEY would be better off because they’d have more room and could even lie down on some planes. I just feel wrong being back here. With all the commotion. With all the mother fuckers reclining their seats on top of me. With all the people all up in my space. Don’t belong here. I gaze lovingly up at my peeps in the first few rows. And I know they’re missing me. The front of the plane just ain’t the same without me in it. 🙂 The back is not for me. I belong in the front. I’m always in the front. The front was made for me.
