WHY I NO LONGER DO PHONE CALLS

WHY I NO LONGER DO PHONE CALLS

Over the past 6 months, I’ve slowly started to cut back on the number of 1:1 calls I was doing. Not because I didn’t enjoy them or because I didn’t like my clients, but because I found them completely unnecessary.Oftentimes, what ends up happening, is we have a good chat for maybe 10 minutes or so, and then I feel as though they’re struggling to figure out what to talk about next, and how to fill the next 20 minutes. We got everything accomplished in those first 10 minutes (or less). Sometimes clients would say “I don’t really have anything to ask you today”, yet we’d still sit on the phone for 30 minutes talking, and not really accomplishing much.I want my clients to have rapidfire success. I want them to make a fuckload of money. I want them to change the world with their work. They can’t do that when they’re sitting on the phone (with me, or anyone else), trying to force themselves to ask a question that they don’t really need an answer to at that moment. It was a waste of their time to be on the phone for 30 minutes. We got more accomplished during our daily audio messaging than on phone calls, so I decided –Fuck the calls. They’re gone. 🙂 And since I made that decision, not only has my own productivity skyrocketed (yay for not needing to break my flow because I have a call scheduled in the middle of it!), but something amazing started happening for my clients as well: They made more money. They checked in with me more and got more, on the spot support (instead of...

ATTRACTING YOUR PERFECT, SOULMATE CLIENTS WHO BUY FROM YOU ON REPEAT

Here’s the thing: People buy from REAL people. Not from people who try to be someone that they’re not. If you want to attract your perfect, soulmate clients, who buy from you on repeat, and who you genuinely ENJOY working with, you need to be you. The real you - raw, and unfiltered. Not much irks me more than when someone is putting on a show - and trust me, EVERYONE CAN TELL when you’re not being your true self and are acting. It’s so obvious. It’s so sad. It’s so maddening. And it’s so unnecessary. In fact, it’s harmful to you, your business, and the people you were put on this earth to help and support - your soulmate clients. No matter what you’re selling, how you’re selling it, or at what cost it’s being sold for – You will ALWAYS attract the right people and you will ALWAYS make sales, if you’re doing these 3 things: 1. Consistently and clearly communicating the value of what you’re selling. You need to TELL (and better yet, SHOW) people the value of what you’re offering them. Make it clear exactly how their life is going to be better once they purchase from/work with you. This needs to be clear in ALL of your sales communications. 2. Believe in yourself and what you’re selling. If you don’t believe in your ability to deliver what you’re promising, or you don’t believe in thething you’re selling, you will not make any money. You MUST believe in both yourself (and your ability to deliver on your promise), plus your offer (and the value of that offer). 3. Be yourself - 100% you, 100% of the time.No faking anything. No saying...

PAY ATTENTION TO MONEY AND MONEY WILL PAY ATTENTION TO YOU AND YOU’LL MAKE WAY MORE OF IT

Listen up. This is big.Do you want to know a secret about money? One that ALL of the wealthiest people in the world know to be true but everyone else is clueless about?THE MORE YOU FOCUS ON MONEY, THE MORE YOUR MONEY WILL GROW.You heard me right: focus on money and money will focus on you.It doesn’t matter how far in debt you are, it doesn’t matter how much your expenses are right now, it doesn’t matter how big of a hole you feel you need to dig yourself out of –You CAN turn things around. But to do so, you MUST pay attention. Not to what you’re struggling with (debt, low income, etc.), but to what you WANT (abundance of money, freedom, etc.). I remember sticking my head in the sand around my debt situation years back and bitch and moan about how broke I was, but I was never able to change that until I actually pulled my head out of the sand and LOOKED at the numbers and made a decision that enough was enough. Things were gonna change, NOW.Yeah, it was scary. I couldn’t believe I’d accumulated as much debt as I did. I didn’t want to look at those numbers. I felt like I’d been punched in the stomach when I finally forced myself to add everything up.But it was worth it.Because then I KNEW. I just KNEW, okay, this is what it is. Now how am I going to do things differently so that it never happens again? And that’s when I changed my entire lifestyle, got into couponing, then extreme couponing, then frugal as fuck, and...

DON’T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU HEAR (WHAT I LEARNED – AND IGNORED – ABOUT WEALTH)

I’m upping my wealth game this year, and a big part of that is learning from those who are already uber wealthy. Books. Courses. Mentorship.Programs.And one thing that keeps coming up is the idea of not spending money on necessary shit. Agree. Totally on board with that. But what I’m hearing more and more is that one of the “worst things” people “waste” their money on is luxury vehicles. This is usually the first thing they suggest you cut. And every time, I make the most unflattering face when they mention it. I scowl. I mumble under my breath. I usually make a loud grunt of dissatisfaction.Because - no.Aquiring wealth doesn’t mean you strip yourself of everything that makes you feel like a wealthy person. FEELING wealthy is the #1 way to BECOMING wealthy. You don’t live like Scrooge, scrounging every last cent, to become wealthy. That’s the most ridiculous scarcity mindset kind of shit ever. Yes, you wanna get rid of expenses you don’t NEED (meaning they aren’t bringing you joy or making you money). But getting rid of your luxury car just because it depreciates in value the second you drive it off the lot? Is horseshit. HORSE.SHIT. My CAR, regardless of how much it costs me, is not going anywhere. My car brings me more joy than almost anything. I FEEL wealthy when I’m in it, when I drive it, even just when I LOOK at it. And feeling wealthy brings more money into my life. The wealthier you FEEL, the wealthier you ARE. Yes, I can “afford” it. I can also “afford” the $10K/month home we were living in, but we’re no longer in that home because IT DIDN’T...

HOW MUCH YOU CHARGE IS IRRELEVENT

It really doesn’t matter how much or how little you charge for something. That includes 1:1 mentoring, group programs, membership sites, done-for-you services, DIY courses, speaking engagements, in-person events –ANYTHING.The price you charge for your work is IRRELEVENT.What people are buying is YOU. And if they buy something you’re selling, it’s not the program or the offer that they bought, it’s YOU.They bought into who you are. They resonate with you, your message, your vibe. So the price means absolutely NOTHING.You could charge $25 for a call with you and someone will pay it. You could also charge $500 for a call with you and someone will pay it.I currently charge $1,000 and up for a 1:1 single call with me and people pay it regularly. Because they’ve already bought me, so they don’t CARE what the damn price is. They want ME and will pay whatever I charge to get me.You can sell anything at any price you want. And it WILL sell. People WILL buy.But only if they’ve already bought YOU.So the next step is this:Show up and show yourself off!Tell us your storyTell us what you’ve been throughTell us what you desireTell us what you believeTell us what you stand for Tell us what you’re AGAINSTTell us what pisses you offTell us what excites you and lights you upTell us how you run the dayTell us how you eat, how you sleep, how you work, how you playTELL US ABOUT YOU.And if you’re interesting, and we resonate, we’re gonna fall head over heels in love with you and we will throw our credit card at you every time you...
