I truly believe that we are all good people.
We all have a desire to do good in the world, we all want to make a difference in some way, and we all want to help others.
Ask anyone if one of their goals is to do good, make a difference, and/or help others, and pretty much every single person will say YES. Because that’s what good people want to do.
I remember reading a book a few years ago, and in it was the message that everyone is selfish, and I agree - to an extent. We ALL are looking out for ourselves first, we all tend to make decisions based on how they will affect US, and we’re all looking for ways to make OUR lives better.
I think it’s important to be selfish, frankly.
I think that if you’re NOT selfish, you end up becoming resentful to those around you.
And so, selfishness is not really something I see as a negative.
That being said, I think it’s also important to acknowledge that just because we’re all pretty damn selfish, that doesn’t mean we don’t care about others. It doesn’t at all mean that we’ll push and shove and screw over other people so that we can get what we want.
It just means that we’re sticking up for ourselves
Doing what we know would make US happy
Making sure that WE are taken care of and looked after
Because when we feel good, we want to share that feeling and make others feel good.
I was journaling about money this morning, as I do every day, and as I was writing out my money affirmations and goals, I realized that the goals I’m chasing this year are pretty freakin’ massive. Especially considering that less than 3 years ago I was one of the most frugal people you’d ever meet, and was of the mindset that being rich and making a lot of money was a BAD thing (you know, being rich makes you a snobby, greedy, asshole - that was my thinking!).
But my goals this year –
And this is something ELSE that I realized this morning –
My goals are not just to collect a lot of money and then celebrate and do it all over again, after sticking it into my a bank account and saving it all up.
What I really want money for is so that I can hire others. The reason I want to hire others is so that I can employ them to share my message and get it out there further and faster so it can impact more people. And the more people I impact, the more lives I change!
Do you want to change more lives?
Impact more people?
Change the freakin’ world???
Well, guess what –
The BEST way to do that, and to do it fast –
Is by making more money. (No, I’m not saying you must have money to help others and change lives, but having it is going to make it much easier!)
MAKE MORE MONEY
HIRE MORE PEOPLE
REACH MORE PEOPLE
HELP MORE PEOPLE
CHANGE THE WORLD!
Not to mention –
Making more money enables YOU to live a high-vibe, VIP lifestyle, which will INSPIRE others. You’ll be able to give more to your favourite charities. You’ll be able to support those in need. You’ll be able to give really great birthday gifts!
Making more money should be a priority.
It’s not a BAD thing to want more money. It’s a BAD thing to think that having less money in some way makes you a better person. Having a small amount of money or a large amount of money doesn’t dictate whether you are good or bad. Rich people are good. Poor people are good. Middle-class earners are good.
We’re all good people, or at least, that’s what I choose to believe.
And as good people, it’s our responsibility to show others that we care, that they matter, and that we can help.
When you make more money as an entrepreneur, you can hire more people to help you share your vision. Those people can take your message/content and share it in more places than you could ever find the time to share on your own, meaning your message will reach more people.
Hiring more people enables you to free up time for you to do what YOU do best, which is speak this message/create this content, and deliver it to your tribe (1:1 coaching, or programs, or done-for-you services, for example). Your team deals with eveything that isn’t your zone of genius.
Yesterday alone I hired 2 more badasses to work for me inmy company because they sent me a badass pitch that had me HELL YESing over them. They are going to help me bring Badass Boss to the masses in a HUGE way, something I’ve been trying to do for awhile now, but haven’t done well with because I simply don’t have the time to go so BIG on my own.
Now I have support to do that.
I didn’t care what it cost to hire them.
In fact, I said YES to them working for me without first asking them what they would charge. I just trusted my gut when I got that HELL YES feeling and decided that, regardless of what they charged, I would make it work. Because my gut ALWAYS knows best. 🙂
I now am able to share my message/content with SO many more people who I know need to hear it and will be impacted by it.
I now am able to help more people.
And it feels pretty fucking fantastic.
