What you’re avoiding is EXACTLY what you need!

I want you to know that no matter what you’re struggling with right now, it will get better. It always does.

But it starts with you first acknowledging the problem and then taking action on it. You can’t stick your head in the sand and hope it goes away. That doesn’t work. Trust me, I’ve tried.

It will be painful.
It will be scary.
It will be uncomfortable.

But also?

It will be worth it. Because soon, it will be over. Soon it will just be a part of your story that you can share your lessons from.

Not until you take the first step of acknowledgement, though.

You can’t keep pushing it off. You can’t wait any longer to fix this problem that is hanging over your head. Suffocating you. Negatively affecting every second of every day.

I’ve done this in the past (just last year, actually, where I pushed big problems off for months, even years). I’ve done things I knew would make the problem worse just because I was being stubborn.

I’ve avoided dealing with my emotions, and the underlying reason the problem happened in the first place.

I was scared.

Scared to admit what I’ve done.
Scared to acknowledge the severity of the problem.
Scared to ask for help and let others know how much I messed up.

So I would delay “getting to it”. I kept telling myself I would finally sit down and figure it out. I’d solve the problem once and for all and never let it happen again. Just not right this second.

I’d DELAY DELAY DELAY.

And eventually the universe would step in and make something drastic happen so I would finally take action.

Has this happened to you before?

Is it happening right now?

Is there a problem you’ve avoided taking care of because you’re scared? Or not sure how to fix it? Or embarrassed? Or because it’s just so BIG, maybe you don’t actually believe it CAN be fixed?

I want you to know something:

It’s not going away. In fact, that problem is going to continue to grow. It’s going to be harder to deal with it later.

Please: Deal with it now. Do what you have to do to get it fixed.

Think of how EASY things will be for you when this is no longer a problem.

Think of how GOOD you will feel when this problem no longer exists.

Solve the problem. Get help if you need it. Make a commitment to yourself.

You are worth it.
