Sometimes you will need to stop yourself from doing the thing you’re doing, so you can get into the thing you know you’re MEANT to be doing.
Meaning –
The thing you’re doing may be fun and all, you may be INTO IT, but it is not the thing you feel, deep down, is THE thing you should be spending your time on this moment.
I’m talking about LIFE and BUSINESS in general here, but also, very small individual activities you may be doing.
It comes down to relentless commitment to your purpose. Doing what you know you MUST because you simply CANNOT. Because you were born for it.
Because when you’re in the weeds of it, when you’re actually doing it, you feel lit up from the inside out.
You know the feeling when you’re SO in flow, so in the ZONE, that you’re writing up a storm, fingers flying across the keyboard, hustle non stop, words flowing out of you like water flowing down a river, where everything just feels so damn EASY?
That’s when you know you’re doing the right thing.
That’s when you know you’re on the right track.
That is what you need to focus on. Daily. Consistently.
Ditch the to-do list and sink deeper & deeper into flow. There is nothing you need to do except go with the flow. BECOME ONE with the flow.
(The FLOW is the thing you were always meant to do, if you haven’t caught on to that by now!)
Instead of trying to plan out exactly what you will do each day to accomplish your goals and hit those big milestones, focus on getting into flow (and staying there). The to-do’s will come. You will know EXACTLY what to do in that moment.
You will feel it in your soul that you MUST go and do this one thing. That’s flow-based action and it’s the ONLY action that matters. The only action that will get you where you want to go, with EASE.
Each moment of every day, you need to evaluate whether or not you’re acting from flow, or acting from fear or “must do”, and you must shift, when necessary.
I think the biggest disconnect people have when building their business, creating, sharing, showing up, selling.. ANYTHING, really –
Is around HUSTLE. Is around doing for the sake of doing.
Doing for the sake of doing is fucking stupid. Doing so you can cross tasks off of a to-do list is not actually productive or profitable. Doing so you can say you did is also dumb.
You may as well not do a damn thing at all.
Focus on taking action on your priority items. The things that will actually move the needle in yoru business. In 99.99% of cases, this is:
- Create content & share it.
- Sell something you’re passionate about and believe in.
- Engage with and grow your audience.
(In addition to your money/wealth & mindset work.)
Those 3 things are all I focused on for years. They’re still pretty much all that I focus on. Everything else is delegated or was ditched altogether.
Those 3 things allowed me to to earn $250,000 my very first year of business, in a brand new industry, where no one knew where I was. And then $500K the next. And on and on.
Money results weren’t all I experienced by focused on those 3 things. I also experienced:
- Attracting soulmate clients who are perfect for me, and I for them.
- A sense of KNOWING when it comes to creating content & offers.
- The ability to make money all day, every day, on auto-pilot.
- Never having to do anything I didn’t want to do (and there’s a lot I don’t want to do!).
- Manifesting amazing friendships with other entrepreneurs who GET ME and the way I do life (and business).
I just wake up, journal, open my laptop and write whatever I feel called to write about, sell whatever I’ve got going on at the moment, talk to my people, and then whatever else I wanna do.
Could be more of the same (sometimes it is), or it could be to close down the laptop and spend the day at the spa. Or the grocery store (I could spend hours there). Or on a plane. Whatever I want.
I DO WHATEVER I WANT, AND THE MONEY FLOWS.
Because I’M in flow.
Truth Nugget: The Money Flows When YOU’RE In Flow!
What can you do to get in flow now?
What do you commit to doing every day so that you’re in the flow zone and naturally lit up and ready to crush it?
It all comes down to guiding yourself into flow. All day, every day, over and over.
