You know, there are a lot of people out on the interwebs, talking about how creating an empire, making massive amounts of money, and getting paid to be you is so fucking EASY (including myself).
This is correct. It absolutely IS easy.
But there’s one thing I want to clear up, as I feel there is a bit of a disconnect –
There is a huge difference between EASE and laziness.
Ease does not equal sitting on your ass doing nothing. Ease still includes hustle. Ease still includes DOING THE WORK.
The difference, the biggest one, is the way that each of these things feels.
When you’re being lazy, you don’t feel too good, do you?
You often feel bored, your body feels heavy and “gross”, you crave unhealthy foods, you lounge around the house doing fuck all (for the most part), and you just don’t FEEL good (physically or mentally).
EASE, on the other hand, feels like total bliss. You find yourself constantly asking how you got so “lucky”. You physically feel ALIVE and well and full of energy.
You WANT to show up and get your work done. You’re EXCITED to get your hustle on! And as you do so, the money, the results, the success.. it just flows!
Recently Rebecca Ives Rubin posted on her FB, saying something along the lines of “those who hustle the most, win”, and I quickly snapped back with “FLOW-BASED HUSTLE WINS, BITCH!”. (In my nicest voice, ever, ’cause I like her.)
Because the truth is –
I think “hustle” gets a bad rap.
I think people are afraid of the hustle because they think it means they will have to work all the time.
Which I guess is kind of TRUE, but the difference between “hustle” and “flow-based hustle” is the level of “I don’t wanna” that you feel when you’re doing something.
If you’re just ticking a bunch of boxes on your to-do list, after forcing yourself to sit down and get shit done (shit that doesn’t feel aligned or right, but that you were told that you MUST do), that’s hustle.
If you’re having a thought run through your mind and you get the feeling of “people need to know this”, and you excitedly write a post/email, shoot a video, host a livestream, and you SHARE it, that’s flow-based hustle.
You’re WORKING in both scenarios, but in 1 of them, the work feels fun and easy. The other feels forced and boring/frustrating/
There will, at times, be moments when you do have to “force” yourself to sit your ass down and “do the work”. Because you’ve gotta be consistent and do the thing you promised yourself you would do.
The thing that fuels you and makes you feel most alive, but the thing you also kinda sorta don’t FEEL LIKE doing ocassionally.
THAT is the kinda stuff you wanna force yourself to do. Not the shit you hate and that doesn’t feel right to you.
You can experience growing your audience with total ease.
You can experience creating epic amounts of content with ease.
You can experience selling out your programs and offers with ease.
You can experience making hundreds of thousands (or millions or MORE) of dollars with ease.
You can have an incredibly free, abundant, high-vibe lifestyle with ease.
EASE is available to you in every way imaginable, but you will never experience it, if you don’t drop into IT, instead of into laziness.
Any time I feel the feeling of “I don’t wanna” come up in regards to a task I’m considering doing, I ask myself “am I just being lazy, or is this something that is simply not in alignment?”.
Often times, I’m being lazy, but on the odd occassion that it’s not in alignment, I won’t do it.
I EXPECT things to be easy.
I EXPECT money to come into my life easily.
I EXPECT running my business to be easy.
I EXPECT living a VIP lifestyle to be easy.
I EXPECT getting paid to be me to be easy.
And so it all IS. And so EVERYTHING is. Always!
Ease is a choice, just like laziness is a choice.
You can allow yourself to be lazy and to ignore your soul work that you know would actually be EASY when you finally just got INTO it, or you can show the fuck up anyway –
No matter how hard it seems
No matter how tired you are
No matter how uncertain you feel
No matter how much you “don’t wanna”
And you can do the work you know is what you’re meant to be doing. The work that, once you get going, automatically fills you with joy.
THAT is when you will experience the ease.
It’s always funny to me when people ask me how everything is always do easy for me, how I’m able to show up every day, write thousands of emails and FB posts, and launch dozens of programs each year..
Because quite honestly, it doesn’t feel easy all of the time. In fact, it RARELY feels easy in the beginning. It’s not until I do what I know I’m meant to do (what feels in alignment for me), that I ease into EASE.
And then the task feels simple, and I get it done super fast, and it does incredible things for me, my business, my income, my audience, my clients..
I sure as hell don’t wake up every day feeling excited to sit in front of my laptop and write.
Some days I don’t feel like it.
Some days I wanna bail.
But I sit down and I write anyway. I sell anyway. I create anyway. I SHOW UP anyway.
And sure enough, as soon as I get into it, I drop into flow and it feels so easy, so calming, so serene. This happens EVERY time.
As soon as I commit to myself, the universe commits to me! I commit to doing the work that I know I’m meant to be doing, and the universe responds and provides me with a feeling of joy and ease and flow.
So what I’m saying is –
Don’t allow laziness to get in the way of the work you know you were born to do.
Ease happens when you do the things that set your soul on fire, and you do them consistently.
Ease rarely happens when you’re waiting for it to. You need to call in the ease by doing the things that make you FEEL it (even if not immediately).
You were born to do big things.
You have a magic inside of you that is so powerful, you have the ability to change lives with it.
Don’t keep that magic inside. Show up every day, DO THE WORK, show us who you really ARE, and allow the ease to flow through you, doing what you were always meant to do.
xx,
Cassie
