The art of simply CHOOSING (and making the right decision EVERY time)..

There is power in the ability to make your own decisions and then follow through with them. Fully, all the way, and not procrastinating any longer, just –

GETTING.
SHIT.
DONE.

Deciding to get the work done.
Deciding to message that person.
Deciding to go to that event.
Deciding to eat that broccoli with dinner.

You make hundreds, if not thousands, of decisions every single day. Don’t you think that this is something you should probably be pretty good at by now? I mean, you’ve been doing it for over a decade or two (or three or.. you get the idea).

And that’s the thing..

You ARE good at making decisions (meaning you know HOW to make them). But that’s just it, you know how to do it. Just like you know HOW to exercise, yet you don’t do it as often as you know you should. You know HOW to brush your hair, but that doesn’t mean you don’t miss a day here and there.

Of course you’re good at MAKING decisions. That’s the easy part.

What you definitely could stand to improve, though, is what those decisions actually ARE.

I mean, let’s face it –

You’ve made some pretty shitty decisions lately, haven’t you? You’ve done things you didn’t want to do, or you didn’t allow yourself to do something you truly DID want to do…

Or maybe you bought something that didn’t feel aligned, but you bought it because someone else told you that you should.

It could even be that you bit your tongue about something you REALLY wanted to speak up about.

My point is:

Although you know HOW to make a decision, you also need to know how to make the RIGHT decision that will actually make your life better

What does that mean?

–> It means saying YES to things you want to say yes to, with zero hesitation and the utmost confidence.
–> It means trusting yourself fully, knowing that your gut never lies, and that you’re making the perfect choice.
–> It means never struggling with knowing how to respond to a question; always knowing the right answer straight away.
–> It means receiving more of what you want by discovering the way to make decisions based on FEELINGS & FLOW.

The power of choice is yours and you’re wasting it by making choices that aren’t 100% aligned with who you are and what you truly want. This is precisely why you can only ever seem to get a LITTLE BIT of what you want, but never what you ACTUALLY desire.

Because you’re holding back.

Not trusting yourself.

Making decisions based on “logic” or even worse, on someone else’s opinion, instead of making decisions based on intuition and flow.

How you feel dictates how you act.

If you’re always feeling afraid, you’ll constantly be making decisions and acting from a place of fear.
If you’re always feeling confident, however, you’ll constantly be making decisions and acting from a place of confidence and feeling in control (which are always the best decisions in terms of getting what you want, ya know).

How many times have you made a decision from fear, just in the last week alone? Say, for example, you had this really big bill that you had to pay within 24 hours and immediately felt fear and worry, wondering “where am I gonna get the money to pay this?!” –

First off: Breathe.
Second: Get a plan in place where you ALWAYS have money available.
Third: Make a decision to find the money and pay the bill on time, from ease and flow.

That’s the IDEAL way to do it, but I bet this is actually what goes on for you when something like this comes up:

First off: You worry. Badly.
Second: You shame yourself for not having money available to pay the bill, despite you working so hard every day.
Third: You end up making a decision based on fear, such as selling something you don’t really want to deliver, or at a price that feels out of alignment to you, just to make some quick cash, soon after regretting it (but hey, at least the bill is paid, even if you do feel like shit about how you were able collect the money to pay for it!).

Don’t you think that, in that situation, you would have felt 10x better and it would have been so much easier, had you just decided that you were going to EASILY pay tar bill on time, in a way that actually felt really good, and then made further decisions and took new actions based around THAT main decision? You’d better believe it!

If what you’ve been deciding for yourself hasn’t been getting you what you really want, it’s probably time you made some new decisions and took different actions, don’t ya think?

Making decisions isn’t hard. My 5 year-old makes the decision to ask me for Oreos for dinner almost every night, even though she knows the answer is always “no”. What she should REALLY do, is just decide for herself that she IS having Oreos for dinner (haha, fat chance!), and then sneak the bag out of the cupboard when I’m not looking. 🙂

Instead, she makes the decision to ask ME to make the decision for her.

Which is what you’re probably doing as well, in some way, maybe without even realizing it (I hope you realize it now!). You make decisions based on someone else’s opinion –

Your partner’s
Your mom’s
Your best friend’s

When in reality –

The only opinion that matters is YOURS; so your decisions need to be based around how YOU feel. That’s when you’re actually able to release resistance, reluctance, and procrastination around going after what you actually want, and then-

Get this –

ACTUALLY START RECEIVING IT.
