From cam girl to couponer to bad ass business coach, this is my TRUE story…

When I was 18, I got involved in the adult industry. I started out as a “cam girl”, using my webcam and scantily clad photos and videos of myself to make a few bucks. Those few bucks turned into tens of thousands of dollars – and fast. Eventually, I became what was called a “solo girl”, which meant I had my own website that was updated a few times a week with new content (photos, videos, and live “shows”) and you would get access to it all for a monthly fee. This is one of the best jobs I ever had for many reasons: I loved knowing that how much money I made was up to ME and no one else I loved being able to work from my house without having to get up early to do it I loved the confidence boost I got from receiving compliments from people I loved that I learned so much about business and how to market myself online I loved the friendships I built and the adventures I had Although I loved this job, many people in my life did not. My parents never talked about it, pretending they had no idea that what I did for money was take my clothes off. One of my aunts refused to talk to me (she still avoids me at holiday get-togethers). My brother used to be teased at work by his colleges that found out his sister was a “porn star”. When I was finished with this industry and started my old couponing blog years ago, one of my competitors posted my old...

That one time I had $0 in the bank and felt like a failure…

I’ve been an entrepreneur for almost 12 years. My last business was a lil’ ol coupon blog that I grew from a couple hundred visitors a day and very little money to 15,000 visitors a day and over $100,000 a year in revenue.   Running my blog was fun, but eventually my head just wasn’t in it anymore, I lost my interest in couponing and being frugal, and after having countless people ask me for advice on how they, too, could make $100,000 a year from their blog, I decided to turn to a new business - coaching.   I hired a team to manage my blog, and after paying them and all of my other expenses, I was left with $0 in the bank - but I knew deep down that this was the right thing for me to do.   I eventually found a business coach that I liked and I hired her in October of 2014. We worked together for a few months and I started offering my services as a blogging coach to the world in February 2015.   Unfortunately, I had my target audience (stay at home mom bloggers) completely wrong. None of them wanted to spend thousands of dollars on coaching. Not only that, but I realized that I really just did not love blogging anymore.   So of course - I didn’t get any clients in February because of this really big mistake of going after who I thought I was supposed to go after as potential clients.   I felt like a total failure.   But then - I changed my...
4 VERY Simple Steps to be More Productive & Make More Money in Your Business

4 VERY Simple Steps to be More Productive & Make More Money in Your Business

Do you want to be more productive in your business?   Are you always struggling to get things done and find yourself spending way too much time playing around on Facebook instead of doing what actually NEEDS to be done?   How would you like it if you could ensure you get all of the money-making tasks DONE in your business each day, without fighting to keep the social media deamons at bay?   How would you like to end your day feeling accomplished instead of ashamed?   Enter - THE BRAIN DUMP.   The first thing I do when I start planning for the week is a brain dump. Whatever is in my head, it comes out, including:   Business To-Dos Personal To-Dos Appointments Birthdays Break Times (that’s right, I schedule breaks to make sure I actually get them!)   I write down all the to-dos floating around in my head (both personal AND business) and then I schedule them in my calendar so they actually get done.   If it’s not in the schedule, it doesn’t happen. These brain dumps help me to get everything on paper and into my schedule, so I actually do everything I need (and want) to do.   This one simple strategy totally changed the way I live my life. I’m now WAY more productive, without working more, and I get to accomplish things with ease, instead of feeling rushed and overwhelmed.   If you’re struggling to be more productive in your business, here’s what I want you to do:   First, schedule some time RIGHT NOW to do a weekly brain...
How I Spend Just 1 Hour per Day on Facebook

How I Spend Just 1 Hour per Day on Facebook

I know there’s some people who think I spend all day on Facebook to be seen and attract clients. Fuck that. I’m there for only an hour a day most of the time (no bullshit). This is how: I keep a list of things to do while I’m on (post, comment & respond to comments, check my messages) I break my time into 15 minute intervals that I spread throughout the day The key is to have a plan and stick to it so you don’t get sucked into scrolling through your feeds. If this is something you struggle with, try setting a timer and get your ass out of there when it goes off. Spending all day on Facebook is NOT going to get you clients. It’s going to make you go crazy and you’ll likely end up in the hospital (trust me on that one, I know from experience!). Want to stand out on Facebook and really make the most of that hour? Choose quality over quantity. Here’s a dirty little secret. When I first started my business I was putting out TONS of content - and a lot of it ended up being total crap. I was so focused on getting my name out there that I was losing sight of the bigger picture (quality over quantity). So I shifted my focus to creating content that was super-value packed and showcased me for the business expert I was. This was the juicy shit that my ideal clients actually WANTED and NEEDED. There’s a ton of crap online. Create content that’ll get you noticed and position you...
How I booked myself solid and you can do the same in 2016

How I booked myself solid and you can do the same in 2016

It’s almost the new year! I really love the new year. It’s such an exciting time: Thinking ahead about all the fun things you have planned for yourself, both in your business, and your personal life. Am I right? One thing I’m doing this year is re-structuring my mentorship offerings, and this got me to thinking: My 1:1 coaching program has been sold out for a while and people are always asking me how I managed to book myself solid so easily - why not talk about it? Which brings me to the question, how would you feel if you could COMPLETELY book yourself solid and not have to worry about always chasing clients? Have you ever felt scared and overwhelmed that you wouldn’t be able to book the number of clients you need to in order to pay your bills? I used to feel the same way! I had invested in coaches, programs and other things for my business (and had high personal expenses, too) and was terrified that I wouldn’t be able to book clients and sell out programs in order to pay my bills. That’s why I’m doing a 5-Day Challenge called, “How I Booked Myself Solid & How You Can do the Same in 2016: Learn the tools and practices needed to create coaching programs & packages that sell, so you no longer need to chase clients!“ I believe it’s EXTREMELY important to book yourself solid so you can focus on serving your clients and your community (so new clients are easy to come by). That’s why I’m not holding ANYTHING back, and I’m sharing: How much I...
