One of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made in my business is seeking answers from others. I joined program after program, hired mentor after mentor, watched training after training - YEARNING for the answer. The big answer. The path. The BLUEPRINT. I wanted someone to say: Do this and get that. I wanted steps that guaranteed an outcome. But what I realized through doing this for over a decade, is that this simply doesn’t work. I mean, it CAN work; you can totally follow a great plan and have it work for you, but the WAY it works, may not be the way you want it to work. Meaning: If you’re asking someone ELSE what to do, you’re doing what THEY want you to do, which will eventually lead to you feeling resentful, even if what you’re doing is getting the results that you desire – Because you’re doing it in a way that doesn’t feel 100% right to YOU. I want to share with you something that has absolutely changed my entire life and business, okay? Once I stopped letting outside influences dictate my actions, I found success. I made more money. Do you ever feel like a fraud? Like someone is gonna “find you out” for not being the perfect leader you think you need to be? I think this is one of the downfalls of people like you and me. We’re such perfectionists that we don’t allow ourselves to just be who we are and EMBRACE ourselves whole-heartedely. Which can sometimes mean - we don’t know everything! I know, I know. You don’t want to admit that you don’t know everything. Neither do I. But the fact of the matter is – We don’t. We can’t. No one knows it ALL. So why are you putting so much pressure on yourself to make people believe that you do? I used to feel like a fraud when I was making more money than my own mentor. I used to feel like a fraud when someone of my clients were making more money than me. I used to feel like a fraud when I would sell something SO easily. I used to feel like a fraud when something I launched didn’t sell at all. I used to feel like a fraud a lot – And I still do from time to time. Because I’m human. And you’re human. We are officially living in The Conscious Creator’s Castle, our new Toronto home, and I still can’t believe it’s real. This house is a fucking DREAM. I walk around and just stare. I cry. I gasp. And I know I am being dramatic about it, but I just can’t get over that this is where we live. That this is now our home. We live down the street from dentists, doctors, lawyers and other entrepreneurs with their own multi-seven-figure businesses. We are surrounded by wealth. Which of course is inspiring as all else! I always dreamed I would live in a place like this, but I never in a million years thought it would happen so early in my life. I always knew I would be rich. That I would make a lot of money and be able to buy and experience anything I’ve ever wanted, but I thought I had to wait until retirement (when I’m 60+, I ain’t retiring ever, no thank you!). I thought I had to struggle first. I thought I had to sacrifice a lot first. I thought I had to save up first. I thought I had to wait first. But I’ve learned that – I don’t have to wait. I can have it all whenever I want it. I’m nowhere near the level I want to be at, financially, but I am WAY closer than I ever thought I’d be at 31 years old. Sometimes I get pissed off when someone doesn’t GET what it is I do. I get paid to be me, okay? I get paid to share mySELF with the world. My thoughts, my lessons, my beliefs. I teach people what I know. And what I know is ME. Me includes – Parenting Business Relationships Friend Daughter Housecleaner First-Class Chef Professional Negotiator Money Master Why is that so strange? Why is it so hard to believe that you can honestly get paid to be YOU? It’s possible. And the sooner you believe it, the sonner you can experience it yourself. The EASE that comes from living life the way you want, on your own terms. The FLOW that comes from showing up and creatng for your community. The EASE that comes from selling, selling, selling, all day long. The FLOW that comes from being present in every moment of your life. The EASE that comes from caring for your children and working on your business at the same time (no separating business and life!). Can I ask you a question?
