I’ve noticed that every year, there is a new wave of “entrepreneurs” that come onto the scene. They watch everyone around them, they copy or imitate others that are successful. They refuse to invest in themselves. Their work is half-assed and often regurgitated content from someone else that they put a slight spin on. They are trying to succeed in a world they weren’t designed to be in. And after a year (or less), most of them fade away. Disappear. And a new wave takes their place. I’ve already seen a bunch of people walk away that, in the beginning of 2016, told me they were going to “crush it beyond belief” this year. Some people are simply not cut out for this world. Harsh, but true. But let’s be real: If you ARE cut out for it, you do whatever the fuck it takes to succeed. You don’t give up. You REFUSE to give up. You get knocked down time and time again and you get the fuck back up and keep going. Because you know that deep down, this is what you were BORN to do. Everything you do is a choice. You have a choice to get up in the morning and bust your ass for your dreams. Or not. You have a choice to work side by side with amazing mentors, clients and collegues. Or not. You have a choice to show up and be FULLY present in your life each day. Or not. You get to make the choice. No one else. You may THINK that others occassionally have the upper hand (government, teachers,...

I used to think that pleasing others was more important than pleasing myself. How selfish of me to put myself first. That’s not what Mother Theresa would do. Or Ghandi. Or Princess Diana. How DARE I put my needs above others. For years, I struggled with wanting to do things, but not doing them because it wasn’t “fair” to others. I grew up with a lot of fucked up beliefs – I can’t make more money than my partner I can’t make more money than my parents I need to “climb the ladder” and “wait my turn” for success Talking about money is shameful and rude I look back on myself 10+ years ago and all I see is a sad, lonely girl with big dreams, constantly being told that she CAN’T. Somewhere along the way, I think I got lost. I think I started to follow and believe in the dreams of others, and forget or ignore my own, because it “wasn’t my turn yet”. I was told that success isn’t easy, that it takes a LOOOOONG time to attain, and that, even if I DID achieve it, I would do so at a great cost and it wouldn’t be worth it in the end. And so somewhere along the way, I gave up on my idea of success. I got frustrated. Annoyed. And I really think that, deep down, I stopped believing that what I desire is actually possible for me. I stopped listening to my gut. I stopped trusting my instincts. And instead, I let the opinions of others steer me. I had people telling me that...

It makes me sad when someone asks me how I manage work/life balance because they are clearly under the impression that you need to HAVE a work/life balance, which is not true at all. I usually get this question during interviews, or sometimes from someone in my community (who clearly doesn’t know me well yet) and my answer is the same every time: “I don’t believe in work/life balance.“ Which shocks them. They can’t believe it. I’m sure they start thinking I’m a workaholic. My poor family. They probably never get to see me. But just the mere FACT that they even ASKED ME about work/life balance means they probably believe in it themselves, and so they usually ask me to explain because they’re confused. They don’t get it. When you’re interested in work/life balance, you’re actually saying that you want to take a break from your work every day. And while I get the idea of not being 100% turned on 24/7, of spending quality time with your family and friends, I don’t believe you need to separate the two. Here’s something that a lot of people still don’t understand – THE BUSINESS IS YOU. You do not work IN your business. You do not work ON your business. You simply ARE your business. Your dreams, your goals, your wishes, your passions, your thoughts, your opinions, your message that you share every day – THAT is what people buy. They don’t buy your perfect program. Your course. Your training. They buy YOU. Think about the last information product you bought online. Did you know the person you bought...

Have you ever wondered why some women are kicking ass while others are still sitting on the sidelines, waiting for their turn at bat? It’s a common question a lot of people ask: “Why her and not me?” And I’ve got the answer for you! Ready? HER HEAD IS PROGRAMMED FOR SUCCESS AND YOURS IS NOT. It’s simple, really. When you just DECIDE that you’re going to get what you want, the universe collaborates FOR you and starts making shit happen. And if you’re constantly looking at others and how great their life appears to be, and comparing it to your own life, all that’s going to happen is you’re going to end up feeling depressed, jealous and frustrated. Which is not a recipe for success, in case you were wondering. Why is “she” doing better than you? Why is she making more money? Why is she more visible? Why is she more OUT THERE and present all the time? Why is she featured on the top podcasts? Why is she getting all of this attention? Because she asked for it, she considered it a done deal, and then she took that aligned action every day to make it happen. She is success-oriented. Everything she does, she does it with success on her mind. That’s how you need to be working if you want success yourself. And let’s be honest – That’s NOT how you’ve been doing things. Can I ask you a serious question? Do you really even WANT to be successful? Do you want to make 10x more money, or better? Do you want to work with...

The month when everyone steps away, takes time off, and relaaaaaaaaaxes for days or weeks at a time. The content is pre-scheduled in Hootsuite and Buffer. The emails are already written and ready to be sent to their list of eager fans. Celebrating the end of another year. And I’m over here like “BITCH, THIS IS THE BEGINNING, NOT THE END. I’M JUST GETTING STARTED!”. Ain’t no breaks happening over here! I’m in full on planning mode. I’m about to uplevel. I’m about to set massive goals. I’m about to take huge risks. I’m about to create new things. I’m about to go WAY MORE in than I am now. Will I take a bit of time out to celebrate the holidays with my family? OF COURSE. I’m not a TOTAL Scrooge. I love the holidays like anyone. But I love my business, too. And I love my community. I’m not gonna just disappear on them. Here’s the thing you need to realize, – If you have to take a break If you feel like it’s NECESSARY to take a break If you truly WANT to take a break You’re in the wrong fucking business. Just admit that you’re in it for the money. Just admit that this is WORK for you. A job that you need, so you can pay the bills. This is NOT your life. Do you understand what I’m saying? You can simply be YOU and THAT can be your business! Why would you want it any other way?? I just don’t get it. Maybe I’m delusional, thinking that people want to monetize their life....
