THIS is what happens when you make a freakin’ decision & DO THE WORK…

There is something ridiculous happening right now in the online space that is driving me crazy: the broke leading the broke.

Not even kidding.

Men & women who are broke as fuck teaching other men & women how to make money. SAY WHAAAAAT? 

I’m honestly really surprised that people still fall for this. It’s SO obvious to me when someone is lying and making shit up! 

Nothing makes me more sick to my stomach than this kind of shit and someone needs to call it out and call it out BIG. So here’s what I want to say to those of you that are teaching other people how to make money when you make jack shit yourself:

STOP IT. 

Because we KNOW. 
It’s so EASY to see that you’re full of crap.
You put a big, huge TARGET on your back.
If I see you do it again, I WILL call you out publicly and shame you (you know who you are).

Because as unethical as it is to teach something YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT, it’s also just plain STUPID.

I mean, why would you WANT to do that anyway? Is it because you think people will only hire you if what you’re teaching is “how to make money”? Because that’s crap. Just ask my friend Carrie, who signs on $7,500 VIP clients!

Here is a bit of advice for those of you that believe in order to make money teaching people how to make money is the only way:

DO WHAT YOU LOVE.

TEACH WHAT YOU’RE GOOD AT! 

Even if it does come down to money, teach certain aspects of it, not the whole shebang, unless you’re regularly pulling in a ton of cash each month and have authority to do that.

Meaning: Don’t teach people how to make $10K a month if you’ve never done it yourself (or you’ve only done it once, and never again). That’s RIDICULOUS. And I’m telling you right now that people DO know you’re a total liar and phony. It’s VERY obvious because you let off the energy of someone that FEELS like a fraud and is unsure about themselves/not confident.

So please, do us all a favor, and just stop doing this. 

Can I be honest with you?

When I first started coaching, I felt like a total fraud. “How can I teach people how to make a lot of money, when I don’t yet make a lot of money?”, I would ask myself. And I quickly realized that the best way to do it without doing the wrong thing and feeling like an asshole about it, I would just teach the NEXT thing – 

Meaning – 

Just be ONE step ahead of them. 

So instead of teaching people how to make $10K a month, for example, I would teach them how to make money blogging, because that’s what I’d been doing for years and was really skilled at. As I started to sign on clients of my own for this, I then started teaching people how to sign on their first paying client, and then how to grow their email list (as mind grew), and so on and so forth..

I never taught ANYTHING that I hadn’t been doing myself CONSISTENTLY for at least 3 months. 

And my goal has always been to sell things that I feel extremely confident and skilled in, so I learn and test new things ALL OF THE TIME. Because my other goal has always been to be at least one step ahead of my clients. 🙂 

So do that – 

Be one step ahead. Teach what you are good at NOW. Serve people from that place and you will feel way more confident, won’t feel like a fraud, and will be able to sell A LOT easier. And continue to invest in your education so that you can then teach more things to your clients. The more you learn, the more you can teach. 

ALWAYS.BE.LEARNING!

We decided what we wanted, we declared it as a DONE DEAL, and then we took aligned action EVERY SINGLE DAY, no matter what was going on. We made it a priority. We made sure we focused on it daily. We did the freakin’ work. And we continue to do the work all day, every day, in a way that feels FUN, in flow, and totally in alignment.

That’s all it takes, really, to be an expert and to tout yourself as one. 

Make a decision. Do the work. Get the results. And THEN teach others how to do what you did. In that order.

Stop lying.
Stop faking it. 
Stop pretending.

Just be YOU and teach what you currently know NOW. It may not feel like much to you, but I promise you that there are people out there that would say it is a lot and they would LOVE for you to teach them. And as you do this, and as you continue to invest in learning more and more, you’ll be able to help your clients and your community with other things. 

But for now – 

Teach what you know. 

Teach what you’re great at.

Teach what you LOVE.

I promise you that that is enough! What you know now is valuable. There ARE people out there who will pay you to learn what you currently know. You’re at least 1 step ahead of them and they want to be where you are. So teach that. Share that. Be the expert in THAT.

And will you promise me something?

Promise me that you will continue to learn. You’ll continue to improve and get better. And you’ll continue to uplevel your life, in order to serve you AND your current (and future) clients better. 🙂
