I’m not one to say that the road to success will be easy.
It won’t be.
It will make you want to tear your hair out.
It will make you cry uncontrollably.
It will make you scream profanities.
It will make you feel so frustrated you’ll be tempted to quit.
Entrepreneurship is tough. It’s not for everybody. In fact, it’s not for most people, because most people are too weak to handle the roller coaster ride that is in store for them, the rest of their lives.
Let me make that a little more clear for you:
If you are going to move forward in your quest for success as an entrepreneur, you will be on the longest roller coaster ride of your life. It’s the roller coaster that never stops and you’re on board, with no way to escape.
There will be countless storms that you have to weather.
There will be many mountains to climb (and you’ll likely have to climb them repeatedly).
You will consider quitting many times.
All of this to say:
ENTREPRENEURSHIP IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART.
It’s an all in, all day, every day, 24/7 LIFESTYLE. It’s not a job. It’s not even a business. It’s your LIFE. And you have to be okay with a crazy, chaotic life if you want to succeed.
And yes, of course there will be fun times.
Easy times.
Exciting times.
Stress-free times.
But in order to enjoy those, you must also be willing to experience the opposite times.
Now, I know that if you follow me, you’re one of those people who is willing to go all in, who is willing to make sacrifices, who is willing to weather the crazy entrepreneurial storms –
Because you know that there’s a purpose behind doing so.
So you EMBRACE the uncertainty
You EMBRACE the frustration
You EMBRACE the failures
You EMBRACE the bad times
Why?
Because you know there are good times on the other side.
You know that you were born to do this.
You know you have a big message to share with the world, and it’s BURNING inside of you, begging to be shared again and again, over and over, forever and ever, until the day you die.
You know that your mission and your big dreams are worth more than an “easy” life. Because let’s be honest. Easy is boring anyway!
You want to experience new things!
You want to have more excitment in your life!
You want to explore and create!
You want to give back and help others!
You want to live a VIP lifestyle!
You want to have it all!
And, let me just tell you:
You CAN.
You can have the freedom
You can have the community
You can have the support
You can have the money
You can have the location-independence
You can have the love
You can have the fun!
But first, you need to admit that you don’t know everything. Commit to learning more every day. Commit to getting the support you need. Commit to going ALL in on life. Because it’s the only one you have!
The real reason that you don’t have what you want is because you simply have not yet COMMIT.
Make that commitment to yourself now.
“I commit to doing whatever it takes to achieve my goals.”
Say it loud and proud.
Say it every day.
Say it multiple times a day.
If you’re willing to try and fail –
If you’re willing to do the heavy lifting –
If you’re willing to deal with uncertainty –
If you’re willing to give it your all every day –
If you’re willing to do whatever it takes to get what you want –
Only then will you actually get it.
And that’s really what it comes down to. Are you willing to do what it takes?
