Have you ever wondered why someone else was successful and not you?
Has it driven you crazy trying to figure out exactly what they were doing that you weren’t?
Maybe you even felt jealous of them because they had what you wanted –
The money, the fame, the recognition, the impact, the overall feeling of satisfaction and having things finally go YOUR way.
Do you even KNOW what it is that you want?
Or are you just going after what you think you SHOULD want, or after what someone else has.
Who’s life are you really living anyway? Is it yours? Or is it your parents’? Your teachers’? Your partner’s?
We all have the opportunity to do something with our lives, but let me tell you –
No matter what you accomplish, it will mean NOTHING if it’s not something YOU decided to do. Something YOU wanted.
And looking over the shoulder of someone more successful than you doesn’t necessarily guarantee success, either. Even if you mimic the exact behaviours of someone further ahead than you are, you will not be happy. Why? Because it ultimately didn’t feel good to YOU.
Stop chasing dreams that you don’t want to chase!
Stop going after what you think you should instead of what you actually want.
I can tell you from experience that you get what you want much faster if it’s actually YOU who wants it, and not someone who just put the idea in your head.
Every day you get to make a choice –
You can do what you you need to do to make everyone else happy
OR
You can do what you need to do to make YOURSELF happy
The answer seems simple, but for those of us that are people-pleasers, it’s actually hard to do things for US. We want everyone to love us, to look up to us, to be proud of us. But what about YOU? Don’t you deserve to love you, look up to you, be PROUD of you?
Of course, the answer here is YES. You DO deserve those things and more!
And I get that it can be tough sometimes. Maybe you don’t even WANT to. Maybe it’s just too HARD. Maybe it hurts too much. Maybe it’s too much effort.
And maybe –
Just maybe –
You need to run and hide forever.
Because let’s be honest –
If you can’t stand up for YOU, and do what YOU know is right, then you will NEVER be successful as an entrepreneur. Ever. You must be selfish in the sense that YOU come first. You need to make YOU happy before you can please anyone else.
Back when I started my first ever business, I wish I knew just how EASY it is to make a massive impact in the lives of others AND make a lot of money in the process. I used to think it had to be one or the other –
>>> You can make a ton of money, but to do so, you have to be unethical, work 24/7, never see your family, steal from others, force people to buy things they don’t need, cheat, lie, and everything in between.
>>> You can make a huge impact in the lives of others, but to do so, you have to expect to always stay broke, you had to give all of your money away, you would never get to experience true wealth, you would need to struggle financially every day for the rest of your life.
And I spent YEARS believing this.
I spent YEARS trying to do both and failing.
I spent YEARS expecting to never be rich and feeling guilty that I wanted to be.
And then I found the coaching industry and my life changed forever.
I’ve worked with countless mentors, gone to events, worked with clients of my own, hosted workshops and classes and it wasn’t until this morning that I realized –
HOLY SHIT, I AM MAKING AN IMPACT IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS *AND* MAKING A LOT OF MONEY IN THE PROCESS!
I mean, deep down I knew this was happening, but I think I still sort of believed that it had to be one or the other, even though my life now dictates otherwise. And it makes me want to fucking cry when I realize how much my life has changed in less than 2 years. I’ve been a businesses owner for over a decade and I’ve never had the amount of success I have had in this industry, so quickly.
One past business never made more than a few thousand dollars a month, one was bringing in $100K a year, and even though I was working 15+ hours a day, every day of the week, I could NEVER get it to go any higher than that (and most was spent on team members and other expenses).
And now I understand why. Why my past businesses never did as well as this current one and in such a short period of time –
No, not because I now teach people how to make money and lots are willing to pay for that.
No, not because I now have a team of people helping me. I’ve had teams in the past.
No, not because I’ve invested tens of thousands into my education. I’ve done that before.
None of those things. NONE.
I’ve found success as quickly as I have because I’ve simply been myself. I’ve said what I needed to say, no matter how scared I was that I would offend someone or hurt their feelings.
Not only that, but I do my work in a very specific way –
I learned all about things like webinars, and email sequences, and sales emails, and live events, and I know exactly how to do each one of those and make a fuckload of money –
But the way most people host a webinar, write a sales email, and everything else you learn in INTERNET MARKETING SCHOOL 101, just feels dirty to me. And although I know they work amazingly well for some people, they do not work for me, because they make me feel gross. So with much shock & horror to my coaches that tell me to do these things –
I don’t do them.
Instead of webinars, I host a livestream. Because it FEELS better to me. It doesn’t feel so fucking fake.
Instead of a million emails telling those on my list to “buy now!”, I email my list with VALUE every day, and THEN ask for the sale.
Instead of posting sales post after sales post in Facebook groups, I simply share free content and sell daily.
I do things differently than most.
And the reason that it works is because I’m ME. And it feels right to ME. And so it makes me money. I’m able to help more people. I LOVE to work all the time. I show up and don’t dread the work, I do the work with LOVE because the “work”? Is just me living my life!
Me picking apples at the apple orchard? Work.
Me writing a sales email? Work.
Me taking the kids to school? Work.
Me following up with potential clients? Work.
Me reading a book? Work.
Me going on vacation? Work.
IT’S ALL WORK. Because it’s ALL JUST ME, LIVING MY LIFE.
The funnels
The emails
The fancy website
The Facebook ads
The discovery calls
The videos
The month-long launches
THERE IS A BETTER WAY.
And that way is to just DO YOU. Make money being YOU.
I know this can happen because I’m doing it, my clients are doing it, my mentors are doing it.
The only one not doing it is YOU. And why? Because some other coach told you that you need to charge low-ball prices as a new biz owner? That you can only promote one thing per month? That you can’t sell anything until people know who you are?
I’m here to PROVE THEM WRONG. And prove to YOU that you can be exactly who you are, run your business exactly how you WANT, say exactly what you want and need to say. And you can change the lives of millions. And you can MAKE millions.
You can have it all. The first step is to ignore everything you’ve heard about building and growing a business up until now and ask yourself this –
“What do I WANT to do to build & grow my business?”
And then go do THAT.
