Here’s the thing you need to realize about your community –
They want YOU. All of you.
They don’t want your fancy program
They don’t your blueprints and checklists
They don’t want your slides and videos and content
They simply want you.
The reason someone follows you is because they either –
A) Want to be like you
B) Agree with your message
OR
C) Want what you have
Regardless of WHY they follow you, there is one thing they’re definitely looking for, and that’s a peek into your life.
They want to know what you do, how you do it, and most importantly, WHY it’s important to you.
And the big reason you’re unable to grow your community and make a bigger impact right now, is because you haven’t made the move to be more visible to your people.
I’m not talking about posting on Facebook 3x per day or emailing your list every week. This isn’t about the WHAT, it’s about the HOW.
How are you showing up for your community?
How are you being yourself and selling YOU?
How are you putting YOU in front of your audience every day?
Don’t overthink this. It’s easy. Pinky promise.
If you want people to pay attention to you, give them YOU, every day. Here are a few ways you can do that –
- Share a picture (or video) of you in your element (eg. if you’re a food coach, share a picture of you shopping for groceries + if you’re an assistant, share a picture of you working on your laptop)
- Share a picture (or video) of something you’ve done, as it relates to your business (eg. if you’re a business coach, share a picture of your to-do list for the day/week + if you’re a web designer or developer, share a video of you going through your favorite plug-ins)
- Share a story about something that happened today, something that really made you think
- Share a picture (or video) or a just a story about someone in your life and why you appreciate them (animals count!)
- Share some insight into something you’re struggling with (it’s okay to ask for help)
In other words, let people be voyeurs into your life. Let them see the real you, and what goes on behind the scenes, because that’s what you’re really selling, anyway, is YOU. So let them in.
