I’m not one to say that the road to success will be easy. It won’t be. It will make you want to tear your hair out. It will make you cry uncontrollably. It will make you scream profanities. It will make you feel so frustrated you’ll be tempted to quit. Entrepreneurship is tough. It’s not for everybody. In fact, it’s not for most people, because most people are too weak to handle the roller coaster ride that is in store for them, the rest of their lives. Let me make that a little more clear for you: If you are going to move forward in your quest for success as an entrepreneur, you will be on the longest roller coaster ride of your life. It’s the roller coaster that never stops and you’re on board, with no way to escape. There will be countless storms that you have to weather. There will be many mountains to climb (and you’ll likely have to climb them repeatedly). You will consider quitting many times. All of this to say: ENTREPRENEURSHIP IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. It’s an all in, all day, every day, 24/7 LIFESTYLE. It’s not a job. It’s not even a business. It’s your LIFE. And you have to be okay with a crazy, chaotic life if you want to succeed. And yes, of course there will be fun times. Easy times. Exciting times. Stress-free times. But in order to enjoy those, you must also be willing to experience the opposite times.
