This is what it ACTUALLY takes to be successful

This is what it ACTUALLY takes to be successful

When you’re willing to wake up at 4am to work on your business, that’s when you’ll be successful. When you’re willing to sacrifice sleep, time to yourself and days off, that’s when you’ll be successful. When you stop telling yourself that you’re broke, that you’re unworthy, that you’re scared, that’s when you’ll be successful. When you wake up and the first thing on your mind is “how can I make money today?”, that’s when you’ll be successful. When you can’t stop working because you love it so much that it doesn’t even feel like work, that’s when you’ll be successful. When you give up trying to fit in and be like everybody else, that’s when you’ll be successful. When you stop giving a fuck what everyone else things and start focusing on you and YOUR dreams, that’s when you’ll be successful. When you’re thinking about your business during random times, such as in the shower and while you’re out grocery shopping, and you’re brainstorming AWESOME content for your community, that’s when you’ll be successful. When you get knocked down, fail, spend money on shit you didn’t need, and can still get right back up again, that’s when you’ll be successful. I think you get the idea. Do the fucking work. And make sure it’s work you love. Because if you aren’t OBSESSED with the work you do, you will NEVER be successful. Never. I’ve had many failed businesses and the only time I REALLY started to make crazy amounts of money, is when I was true to myself and doing work that I loved and was obsessed with. OBSESSION...
BIG mistakes I’ve made in my business (and what I learned from them)

BIG mistakes I’ve made in my business (and what I learned from them)

It doesn’t matter how much you plan and prepare, you are going to screw up at some point. As an entrepreneur, mistakes are a part of life. If you’re scared of failure, scared of messing up, scared of making HUGE mistakes, you’d better go find yourself a “regular” job that has more stability because entrepreneurship is NOT for you. I’ve made more mistakes in my 12 years as a business owner than I can count. Here are a few of them: I hired idiots. Seriously. I hired people that said they were competent enough to do a specific job, but they weren’t. They wasted a ton of my money and made me look stupid. What I learned: Do your research before you hire someone. Don’t hire the cheapest person. Hire the person that can do the job better than you could ever do it yourself. I spent money on trainings that I didn’t need, but bought into their sales pitch (I’m a sucker for a good sales pitch). What I learned: Work with a 1:1 coach first. Spend the money, it’s worth it. And then, only invest in trainings and other programs if they are TRULY a good fit for where you are in your business. (Also: Make a plan to actually IMPLEMENT what you learn.) I spent a ton of money on a website and branding that wasn’t ME. My first coaching website was pink and purple because I thought that’s what my audience (women) would want. Hahahaha. If you know me at all, you know that I am not a pink & purple kind of gal. I...
What do Eminem and Donald Trump have in common? (And what does this have to do with your business?)

What do Eminem and Donald Trump have in common? (And what does this have to do with your business?)

There are some people in the world who just don’t give a fuck. I’m one of them. Eminem is one of them. Donald Trump is one of them. And there are millions of other people that are just like us in the sense that they just don’t give a rat’s ass what anyone else thinks about them. Take Eminem, for example. He’s one of the most controversial rappers of his time and was told from a young age he’d never amount to anything. When he got into rapping, people laughed at him and said he’d never make it as a rapper. Considering he’s now worth $210 million, I’d say he made it. This guy speaks his truth and does his own thing. He doesn’t give a shit what anyone thinks. He’s himself and he’s mega successful because of it. And what about Donald Trump? Sure, he’s disrespectful, racist and downright a nasty human being, but let’s be honest here: He’s really damn good at making money. With many failed businesses and bankruptcies under his belt, he ALWAYS bounces back. He doesn’t give up. He falls down, gets right back up again, and he makes a shitload of cash. With a current net worth of $4.5 BILLION, he’s pretty much a rockstar when it comes to making money. Whether you like him or not, you have to admit that much. He’s never been one to hide his opinions and tell people what he thinks. Even though there are millions of people that hate him, there are also millions of people that love him because he’s honest and he says what...
3 tasks you’re wasting time on right now (and what to do instead)

3 tasks you’re wasting time on right now (and what to do instead)

I’m willing to bet that right now you’re doing things in your business you don’t need to be doing. I’m also willing to bet that you’re currently not making the money you want to be making. And you know what? Both things go hand in hand. The tasks you’re doing each day will either increase your income, decrease your income, or keep you stuck right where you are. If you want to start making more money in your business, you need to avoid wasting time on tasks that are just NOT important. Here are 3 of those tasks: #1 - Social Media I’m going to say this nice and loud for you to really understand: YOU ARE SPENDING TOO MUCH TIME ON SOCIAL MEDIA. Do you need social media? Yes, I believe you do. However, you absolutely do not need to be and should not be on there for hours every day. Instead, aim for 1-2 hours (depending on how many platforms you’re actively participating in) on social media per day. That’s it. You don’t need to spend any more time than that. #2 - Learning Yes, you read that right. You’re wasting way too much time buying courses, reading articles, opting in to webinars and trainings, and having multiple sessions with coaches. Learning is important, and it SHOULD be a part of your every day, but not to the extent you’re probably doing it right now. I recommend having at least one day a week that is solely for implementing everything you learned over the past 7 days. Call it your Implementing Day. Because implementing is much more...
My 3-step plan for consistent clients & customers

My 3-step plan for consistent clients & customers

Recently I was having a conversation with a friend (another coach) and she told me she felt like a fraud because she was teaching her clients how to get consistent clients, but she wasn’t able to do so herself. She knew how to get clients, but she didn’t know how to get them consistently. Yesterday, I read more than 3 posts in my Facebook Group, where women were either complaining about not being able to have a consistent income in their business or asking for advice on how to have consistent clients in their business. Apparently this is an issue for many people. It’s no fun having to chase the clients, the customers, the money. It might seem like fun in the beginning, but eventually it becomes exhausting and you just get frustrated and annoyed that “it isn’t working” for you. Girl, I’ve got your back. Today I’m sharing with you my 3-step plan for consistent clients and customers (which means consistent CASH as well!). I’ve been following this plan for over a year now, and because of that, I’ve haven’t had a problem consistently getting clients & customers. Let’s dive in. Step #1: Know Your Numbers Instead of “hoping” to get a new client this month, or sell 10 spots in your course, get more specific. Specificity drives quicker results. Every month, set yourself a financial goal. How much money do you want to bring in? How many of each of your current offerings do you need to sell, in order to hit that number? Each week, set another number goal: how much money do you want to...
